What happened at the turn of the 70s and 80s?
It happened that during the great building boom of those years, the family business achieved incredible success, becoming a real reference point for heavy building materials in our area.
Rino Casavecchia was lucky enough to experience the period of the great economic boom, but he also had the right intuition. He invested all of himself in the company, working hard, with courage and determination. The Era of Entrepreneurs was born, and in this sense Rino and his brothers were the pioneers of what “doing business” meant in those days.
With the growing demand for construction raw materials, at a favorable time also from an economic point of view, it was possible to work without the hassle of prices and competition.
From a simple gravel crushing plant, the production plants of concrete and asphalt were set up within a few years.
The real turning point came then when the company was given in concession a historic limestone quarry, open since Roman times, thus starting the production of this precious material of unique quality.
Today, the Ponte Alto quarry still represents one of the company’s fundamental arteries.
