Chapter 1
ROME – 1950
One morning, Rino Casavecchia was on his way to work, as usual, when he noticed a pickup truck carrying sand to a construction site.
He approached the truck and found out that all the material was the result of an industrial process; some companies had started grinding stone and gravel to supply the construction sites that were gaining ground in those periods.
Nothing strange, you will say … But you must know that, at that time, no one had ever seen such a thing around here.
Rino took it into his head to return to our beloved Cagli and start a business of his own, aiming to satisfy the need to build houses and buildings with suitable materials, by virtue of the great economic boom that was gradually involving our area, too.
A new entrepreneurial reality would soon be born, which would then make history for our territory: F.lli Casavecchia S.r.l.
