Project Description

It was a great honor for Rockolors to collaborate in the creation of Terzo Paradiso, the work inaugurated at the beginning of school year 2020-2021 in the Pedrengo school garden.
The project is the brainchild of the students, aiming to symbolically represent the union between primary and middle school. Finding inspiration from the symbol of “Terzo Paradiso” (literally, Third Paradise) created by the great artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, it became a masterpiece of strong prophetic value, not only ornamental.

Terzo Paradiso is a welcoming space, realised with respect to the environment, aiming at bringing people together and making them appreciate the contact with nature and the world around us.
In this framework, the colored Rockolors stones perfectly perform their ornamental and at the same time symbolic function, to represent an open-minded teaching method “that knows how to renew itself, rethink and open spaces, in this time that asks us to take a new look”.

We thank the Technical Office of the Municipality of Pedrengo which followed the executive project, the architect Anna Gagliardi and her collaborators, the surveyors Fabio Moioli, Andrea Gotti and Giselda Papetti, for the excellent opportunity and synergy established. A special thanks go to the students of the Ccrr of Pedrengo, to the Comprehensive Institute “A. Merini” and to Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto for their ideas, inspiration and the will to create a space for the whole community to meet and share.
